Young Bomber Kyle Langford has been cleared of any serious injury after suffering a heavy head knock in Essendon’s 43-point victory over Sydney on Friday.

Langford was collected by a high bump from Swan Zak Jones – who was immediately reported for rough conduct – in the final term and was sent to hospital after feeling pain moving down his arm from his shoulder.

The 21-year-old is expected to recover well and is likely to be available for selection for the side’s clash with Hawthorn next Saturday, suffering only minor whiplash and arm pain.

Langford had impressed once again before the incident with 15 disposals, seven inside-50s and six tackles, continuing his purple patch of form.
